Gilles was born and raised around Canada's capital, but now spends most of his time in Music City, Nashville.  His experience (typically playing about 200 shows a year!)
and talent allow him to tastefully combine a great groove with the right chops.  Gilles shows up for every performance mentally and physically prepared to devastate, and his passion and enthusiasm for music have earned him several outstanding musicianship awards, endorsements, and a seat on stage with artists such as New Music Weekly's 2006 "Top Male Artist of the Year" and two-time Grammy Award nominee Tim Murphy (Big 7), Matt Stillwell (Still7), Aaron Shea (NTM), Amanda Rheaume (Independent), Hennessey/Sugarjack (PopGuru/Universal), Terry Tufts (NorthernBlues), and guest appearances with Spirit of the West, and Shania Twain (Mercury Nashville).
