The Town Pants are on tour throughout the summer of 2009 through the Northeastern US (New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, New Hampshire, and out to Massachusettes and Rhode Island) as well as shows in Michigan, Virginia and out to Colorado, as well as shows in Ontario and in Quebec in Canada. Our regrets to fans in Europe it'sgoing to be at least one more year before we can return there. The Town Pants "Tour-Off-a-Chunk" Summer 2009 tour dates at present are currently posted at www.thetownpants.com - if your hometown isn't posted, check back in a couple of weeks as we'll be adding some more shows throughout the tour that are still To Be Announced and confirmed--and we hope to see to at one of the shows. The band has a new CD titled "SHORE LEAVE"
that's been completed and should be in our hands to put in yours in
early July. Much more on that later, but those of you attending the
concerts through June will hear some sneak peaks of the new songs. Kyle Taylor and Mo Sherwood who appear on the new SHORE LEAVE
album regrettably couldn't make this tour and we'll see them again
soon. Be well boys! Dino DiNicolo has permanently left to front his own
solo project and we wish him well. So there's a few new faces on this
trip. Joining Dave, Duane and Aaron are Ivanka Watkin on fiddle and
Brendan Mooney on bass. Also returning on drums is Gilles Nadon who's
lately been busy in Nashville and fans in the east will remember from
previous tours. Check it all out at the band's website at www.thetownpants.com - we'll be updating it regularly with new info, mp3's, tour dates, new tour stories and info as we go.
Pro photographer ADAM PW SMITHS
camera has been very busy in Vancouver. He's an increasingly familiar
face at music events photographing bands big & small, from reggae
to rockabilly, and from classical to punk. We think he's a real asset
to the city and its music scene. He's photographed a number of Town
Pants shows in the last year. You can see some of them in our GALLERY
page for Boozapalooza II. His photographers eye is incredible,
wondrously pulling out the most vivid of images from the darkest of
clubs where there's sometimes nary a footcandle of light to be had.
Plus, seeing Adam's photos help us remember what happened the night
before!
We're pleased that a Town Pants shot made his limited
edition calendar that he prints every year. Adam's current show of
photos is at ReEntry Espresso 4363 Main Street in Vancouver and runs
until March 15, 2009. Adam's a friend and we're big fans of his work.
So check out the show and his website HERE and drop in often to check out his daily photo blog..***TheTownPants.com

We always felt that the audience was somewhat of the hidden member of
the band you don't see in photo's of us. So its a chance to connect
with others and maybe you'll maybe find a few friends there, or some
familiar faces at shows you've been to.
In addition for you MySpace people you can find the band's MySpace page

Ryan Robbins, who audiences in the Metro Vancouver area will be
familiar with as the bands dijeridoo player/ bodhranist/madman stars in
a new original series on Global TV network in Canada called The Guard.
No word on whether or note Dave, Duane and Aaron will make a guest
starring appearance as distraught victims of a tipped canoe. Ryan's got
a blog about the show and you can check it out HERE.
Check
out the CBC's new and improved New Music Canada website HERE

spin or two and you'll push us up in the most popular downloads charts
on NMC.
In the mid 90's Dave
Keogh played guitar in a Ottawa based rock group called Headview with
the infamous Arman Kamal on vocals. The band released only one CD in
1996, a now-difficult-to-find out of print CD titled "Sad Tomatoes".
Perhaps the guys were ahead of their time as the CD just recently got a
blog review HERE
Battlestar
Galactica actor Aaron Douglas (who plays Chief Galen Tyrol on BSG)
who's a friend and fan of our music wears a familiar t-shirt on this interview
held at a recent sci-fi fan conevention discussing his work on the
show. Cheers, pal! The 3rd season of BSG starts airing in early
October. The Town Pants will not appear as cylons, but stay tuned for
some upcoming clips with Aaron and us soon!
On
the Galaxie
